A joint initiative between HMNS and STS
The Home Carer Course is tailor-made for people who voluntarily care for a family member or friend in a domestic environment, e.g at home.
This course is run by experienced registered nurses (RNs), and is designed to empower those people who need to improve their first aid knowledge, and who often have had to learn things the hard way, by themselves!
Help is now here.
Come and cover the basics, including CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation); pressure area and wound care; care of skin tears; nutrition; safe manual handling; dementia; stroke; choking; seizures/fits etc. There will be ample opportunity for you to ask lots of questions throughout the day.
